Conservation Farmers of the Year
Otter Creek combined their annual meeting and Addison County farm tour in October. In 2015 guests met at Four Hills Farm in Bristol. Topics covered were barnyard practices that manage manure nutrients, and cropping practices that reduce erosion in the Lewis Creek Watershed. The Otter Creek Annual Meeting was held in Bristol. Jonathan Chamberlin presented the award for Conservation Farmer of the Year to Brian, Joanne, and Ron of Four Hills Farm.
Candidate farmers of the year for 2017 are Nea Tocht and Harrison’s Home Grown. We will tour candidate farms on October 21st starting at 10am.
